In an effort to publicize that Usian Bolt the fastest man in the world wears Puma shoes, Puma commissioned ZZYZX to create a game based on the 80s classic arcade game Konomi crack and Field The game we created features the player as a stylized hand that races against Usian Bolt in the 100-meter dash, the faster the player presses the buttons the better their character performs. The game was a phenomenal success and even included Usian Bolt playing the game and racing himself.
This project had a very short delivery deadline, ZZYZX had to create this game in less than three weeks from the awarding of the project to concept and game development, to the site going live for the start of the summer Olympics. To add complexity to the project ZZYZX had to create a pre-visualization of the game to provide a shoot list and verify the gameplay concepts.
